Job summary

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic substantive Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The successful candidate will have a special interest in head and neck trauma, orthognathic and skin surgery.

The post holder will have a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training and clinical research and audit.

Main duties of the job

This is a full time post which entails the care of OMFS patients across South-East London and Kent. The post-holder will agree a detailed job plan including personal and professional objectives once in post, involving elective theatre and outpatient sessions across all King's sites.

Applications are invited from accredited specialists in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery who are on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining the CCT or equivalent at interview stage. Applicants must be registered with the General Medical Council and hold an appropriate higher surgical qualification and preferably should also be registered with the General Dental Council.

The role is included in a 1:8 on-call rota which includes weekend / out of hours
