Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to join the Gastroenterology Dietetic team at Kings College Hospital, as a 0.6 WTE Band 7 Specialist Dietitian. The team consists of a Band 8 clinical lead , this band 7 post and also a band 6.

Main duties of the job

This 0.6 wte Band 7 Specialist Gastroenterology Dietetic post will be based at the Denmark Hill site. As a member of the gastroenterology dietetic team, you will be responsible for both gastroenterology inpatients and outpatients. This will cover conditions such as IBD, functional gut disorders, intestinal failure and many more.

The post holder will also be a highly valued member of the Nutrition multidisciplinary team , which is responsible for the provision of parenteral nutrition across the hospital specialities. Youwill also work closely with the gastroenterology consultants , IBD and Nutrition clinical nurse specialists and member of the wider MDT.

The role will be responsible for line management of junior members of staff.

Service development will be an objective of high priority for this post. You will work closely with the Band 8 lead to take the service forward.

The department places a strong emphasis on the learning environment and ensures that staff have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to their full potential.
