Job summary

Key activities of the post-holder will be to:

  • To co-ordinate the smooth day to day smooth running of the stores department
  • To have responsibility for managing staff working in stores and distribution.
  • To support the efficient and effective operation of the stores/distribution area.
  • Contribute actively to the development and implementation of pharmacy objectives relating to stores and distribution
  • Provide supervision, education and training to pharmacy staff
  • Participate in the preparation of cost effective orders for pharmaceuticals

Main duties of the job

Under the direction of the Stores manager, the post holder is responsible for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy store.

This post carries managerial responsibility for the staff working in stores and distribution

The post holder will be supporting the efficient and effective operation of the stores/distribution area, the top up service and stock control within the pharmacy stores of The Princess Royal University Hospital.

To support the preparation of cost effective orders for pharmaceuticals

To contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy objectives relating to stores and distribution.
