Job summary

Applications are invited for the above posts which are available from August 2022 at King's College Hospital. The posts will be for 12 months initially (renewable subject to mutual agreement).

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Fellow post is suitable for anyone looking to pursue a career in renal medicine. This job provides a rounded exposure to all aspects of nephrology in a busy tertiary referral centre with the possibility of on call as well. The post is a good stepping stone to applying for ST3 posts in nephrology due to the experience gained in this post.

  • Evidence of achievement of Foundation competences from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme or equivalent by time of appointment in line with GMC standards/ Good Medical Practice
  • Understanding of the principles of medical audit
  • Clear understanding of clinical risk management

Desirable

  • Previous involvement in research project(s)

Training and Experience

Essential

  • Core trainee experience or equivalent in Renal
  • Experience of and ability to work in multi-professional teams
  • Experience in day to day organisation of Renal services in a busy hospital
  • Understanding of NHS, clinical governance & resource constraints

Desirable

  • Experience in day to day in a NHS organisation
