Job summary
This is a clinical post giving the appointee the opportunity to develop skills in using transvaginal ultrasound for the diagnosis and management of early pregnancy problems and gynaecological conditions beyond the level expected for RCOG ATSMs.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will work full time in the Early Pregnancy & Gynaecology Assessment Unit at King's College Hospital under the direct supervision of Miss Jackie Ross and Miss Jemma Johns.

The post holder will be engaged in working in the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit and will be given full training in the use of transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of gynaecological conditions. They will also have the opportunity to take part in research projects involving the use of ultrasound in the non-invasive assessment of gynaecological disorders. The post involves provision of a morning weekend service in the Early Pregnancy Unit one weekend in three. The successful candidate should have attained at least the competencies required by the end of ST4 year of obstetrics and gynaecology, part 1 MRCOG or equivalent and full GMC registration and have two years experience of working as a doctor in the UK.
