This is an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team on Ward 5 and Surgical Day Case Unit. It is a 13 bedded surgical ward delivering high quality care to elective and non elective general surgical and gynaecological patients. There is also an additional Surgical Day Case Unit and Surgical Treatment Unit where we care for out elective day case patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with considerable experience at Band 5.
With excellent communication skills, team working skills and experience in leading a team to join our busy ward.
Our nursing team is focused on the six C's so we aim to deliver high quality, compassionate care to our patients and carers.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Band 6 Charge Nurse is to support, contribute to and assist the Ward Manager in the leadership and the management of the ward / unit team. To support the Ward Manager in the development, monitoring and implementation of high quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure continuity of service provision and standards are maintained and improved.
