Job summary
East Cheshire NHS Trust are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographer to join our Radiology Team at Macclesfield District General Hospital. The candidate will be passionate about plain film imaging, working in our busy department and will deputise under our management team to uphold high plain film imaging standards and be responsible for the day-to-day running of our general rooms.
We are a fully digital department, with 3 Digital General rooms. We also have two GE Evolution CT scanners, two 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Aera and a hybrid Fluoroscopy unit.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join our team of Radiographers covering general imaging Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
Main duties to include;
Oversee the running of our main 2 general X-ray rooms in conjunction with the Band 7 Radiographer of the day.
Uphold imaging standards and adherence to IRMER.
Offer supervision to Band 5 Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, imaging assistants and students/apprentices within the department, ensuring efficient patient flow is maintained at all times.
Escalate urgent clinical issues to the management team.
