Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity available for a suitably experienced Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to become part of our established therapy team within the Knutsford Care Community. We welcome applications from candidates with a keen interest in working within an integrated community team.

This post is based at Knutsford Community Hospital.

You will be required to be flexible at times and work across sites in East Cheshire to assist colleagues from other teams. It is therefore necessary to travel efficiently between sites and to rural areas.

Band 3 applicants with relevant experience are welcomed.

About the service:

We are a forward thinking and evolving Therapy service, offering a range of staff experiences from Therapy Assistants through to Advanced Clinical Specialists. Each discipline is supported by a professional lead, with strong links with GP's, Consultants and local Universities.

Hours per week: 20.25

Main duties of the job

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded candidate, with experience of working in the NHS.
  • The candidate should be motivated, with good communication skills and the ability to work within the therapy team and wider MDT. Organisation and time management is key to efficiently managing delegated caseloads.
  • The candidate should provide a patient centred approach to care, and be able to demonstrate basic clinical knowledge within the area of community therapies.
  • It will be essential for the post holder to work under supervision of a qualified member of staff, as well as autonomously within trust policies and scope of practice and competencies, in addition to maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
