An opportunity has arisen in the busy Health Records Library at Macclesfield District General Hospital to appoint to the demanding and varied position of Admin Assistant.
The Health Records Library Team support the organisation with the provision of an efficient administration service which ensures the availability of patient records for clinical and research purposes.
The applicant must be hard working, flexible and be able to cope under competing pressure and demand. Experience with working in a team environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A good understanding of confidentiality and knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 is also essential.
35 Hours per week
Fixed Term 12 months
Main duties of the job
The role includes
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- To create, update and amend patient case notes as required, ensuring all patient demographics are accurate
- Prepare case notes for clinics to the agreed standard format including the downloading of e-referral forms
- Use the online digital imaging retrieval
- To undertake reception duties on the ETU , including updating patient personal details and organizing follow up appointments
- To take phone calls in a timely courteous manner
- To work collaboratively as part of a well established team
