Job summary
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Operational Services Manager to join a well-established Planned Care operational management team, based at Macclesfield District General Hospital.
You will be an experienced, visible, and compassionate leader, supporting operational and clinical teams to deliver high quality care.
With a proven track record of collaborative working and engagement, you will be able to demonstrate service improvement and delivery of performance standards.
You will ensure delivery of Trauma and Orthopaedic service along a portfolio of other services within a clinically and financially sustainable model.
Specifically, the post holder will work with clinical and managerial colleagues, ensuring that operational performance and access targets are met, and take the lead in developing effective systems within the services to enable the sustained delivery of key operational targets.
The post holder will be responsible for the line management of the Operational Support manager and a variety of nursing and clinical teams within the portfolio. The post holder will support to the General Manager for Planned Care.
Hours per week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
- To support a culture of strong visible leadership within the Trust, and an environment in which staff are valued and respected.
- Provide managerial leadership to staff in services within the remit of the role ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented.
- To ensure that staff reporting to this post are valued, supported and clear what is expected of them.
- To ensure patient access are delivered and maintained.
- To ensure that changes to workforce policies are implemented across the area and that this is done consistently.
- To investigate and respond to complaints within the specified timeframe, analysing and monitoring data collected and collated to ensure that appropriate actions are identified, corrective and preventative measures are put in place as required and that learning is shared within the teams.
- Undertake regular audit of adherence to associated local and national policie
