East Cheshire NHS Trust has an exciting job opportunity in the Estates & Facilities team for a Multi skilled Maintenance assistant.
Based at Macclesfield District General Hospital , we are seeking to recruit an experienced multi skilled assistant to join the well-established team to deliver excellent service to the Trust and its patients from the surrounding community.
The successful candidate will ideally have a maintenance background and will be expected to work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team undertaking basic level maintenance tasks including PPM's, reactive and routine maintenance work on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment across the Trust premises.
The post holder must demonstrate ownership and responsibility in relation to the duties of the post, along with actively participating in continual development and training requirements.
The individual will hold a full UK driving licence, have excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, manage non-routine tasks and identify areas of efficiency which are essential to the role.
The role is predominately based at Macclesfield Hospital, but occasional travel to other sites in the community may be required as a part of the day-to-day duties using their own transport vehicle.
This is a permanent post.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is part of a multi skilled team within the Estates Department and performs work including activities that may be routine and noncomplex.
To work appropriately to core skills and progressively be suitably trained to acquire elements of trade skills with the intention of reaching levels of flexibility and competence to enable the performance of the following:
Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, refurbishments and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with current Trust safety standards and procedures
