Job summary

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes currentEast Cheshire NHS Trust employees,bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.**

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced audio typist with medical terminology to join our dedicated team in the Clinical Transcription Suite.

The Clinical Transcription Suite provides typing support to the clinical specialties. You will be working with a team of professionals who are truly some of the best in their field with expertise in a wide range of medical terminologies and who will provide you with support and training.

Hours per week: 37.5 Full time and part time hours available

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the audio typing and transcription of all clinical correspondence across all clinical specialties, The post-holder will be expected to ensure all clinical correspondence is typed and processed within specified timescales.

The post-holder will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to the job, providing typing support for the medical secretaries.

The post-holder will need fast and accurate audio typing skills and a sound knowledge of medical terminology.

  • 5 GCSE's including Maths and English Language Grade C and above
  • RSA II (Royal Society of Arts) typing standard
  • Computer literate to ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent

Desirable

  • AMSPAR (The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists) diploma
  • RSA III (Royal Society of Arts) standard

Knowledge & Skills
