This team cares for children and young people from birth to 18 years who have a variety of complex health needs. Care is provided in the community to meet health needs while supporting the social and educational inclusion of the child or young person.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude, must be hard working, caring, dedicated and be able to demonstrate a willingness and commitment to team working and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Applicants must hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, Child Care and Development or equivalent and will have experience of caring for children with complex health needs.

Our office is based in Congleton but the care packages are across East Cheshire so the ability to travel is essential.

Hours per week: 28.5

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for the holistic care of a child with complex health care needs in their own home and in an educational setting. Following a period of competency-based training and supervision the post holder will be expected to deliver care following a care plan and East Cheshire Trust policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Complex Care Trainer, the child and family and multiprofessional colleagues to develop relevant skills to deliver the specialised care required.
