Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager, primarily to manage the implementation of Rapid Diagnostic Services (RDS) to support improvement of suspected cancer pathways. This role requires an excellent understanding of project management methodology and a good awareness of the national, regional and local cancer agenda.

Hours per week: 37.5

Permanent Fixed Term 24 Months

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced project manager to support an exciting programme of work that will enable us to introduce rapid diagnostic services to our suspected cancer pathways in line with the national, regional and local cancer agenda.

The Project Manager is a key leadership role with pan-Directorate responsibility for leading and providing assurance on delivery of key work streams within the programme. They will work closely with the Trust's Lead Cancer Nurse and will be the key link to external bodies such as the Cheshire & Mersey and Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to be involved in service improvement initiatives to support the delivery of cancer services.
