Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Services Team based at Macclesfield District General Hospital. This role is part of the well-established Finance & Procurement Department which is accredited at level 2 Skills Development Network and Future Focused Finance for achieving high levels of performance and consistent good practice in finance skills development in the Northwest. We pride ourselves on our financial standards and commitment to continuous staff development.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated, confident and flexible individual looking to develop their career in NHS finance. The post holder will provide high calibre financial support to the Trust's financial services team. This is a key role in supporting the regular day to day and monthly processes carried out by the department, and in the development of the Trust's financial systems and processes, including the provision of a cashiers service within the Trust.
Applicants should be highly numerate, a strong communicator and in particular able to communicate with staff, other NHS bodies, shared service provision, suppliers, debtors and the general public as required. Be an interactive team player, able to complete accurate reconciliations and capable of prioritising workload effectively. Candidates must possess excellent IT skills and be willing to work individually and as part of a team. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop personally and professionally. We expect candidates to be passionate, flexible and hard-working, seizing this opportunity to develop knowledge and skills within the operation of an NHS provider Trust.
