Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Dental Nurse to cover maternity leave, giving an insight into working for the Community Dental Service at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
This would be a fixed term, part time post, working 22.5 hours over 3 days per week at Weston Clinic, Macclesfield, until March 2024.
The post holder must be self-motivated, organised and experienced in general dental nursing, with excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
- Support the service in providing a unified approach to deliver a high standard of patient care.
- Be a key member of the dental team, to assist in the smooth operation and organisation of the surgeries and theatres.
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet and deliver the needs of patients, their families, and carers.
- Assist in the provision of dental treatment in clinic and theatre settings, providing special care dentistry and paediatric exodontia services, providing clinical support in a range of treatments for a broad client base.
- Attend general anaesthetic sessions when required - following training.
- Carry out the decontamination, disinfection, sterilisation and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment, effectively.
- Be familiar with dental software for inputting of patient notes and charting.
