Job summary

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes currentEast Cheshire NHS Trust employees,bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.**

The Podiatry service has recently received funding to be part of a new initiative within East Cheshire to set up an MDFT for Diabetes, in collaboration with several other organisations.

The service is currently running weekly at Waters Green Medical Centre and is looking to extend this with an inpatient service at Macclesfield District General Hospital .The successful candidate will need to be a team player withexcellent clinical, communication and organisational skills. They will alsorequire a positive attitude to personal and professional development.Travel is an integral part of this post and you must state on your application form how you intend to fulfil this essential requirement.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an Advanced Clinical Specialist Podiatrist in Diabetes to run an inpatient service at Macclesfield District General Hospital. The successful candidate will form part of a new Multidisciplinary Foot team for Diabetes and will be required to help develop this new team.

You must hold a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, together with a Certificate in Local Anaesthesia. Evidence of Continued Professional Development is also essential.

The post requires advanced clinical knowledge of Diabetes. Experience working in the community at a specialist podiatrist level in a relevant field is essential
