Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Cheshire NHS Trust, for an enthusiastic CPEP Practice Education Facilitator (PEF), on a 12-month secondment or fixed term contract. The Clinical Placement Expansion Programme is an initiative supported by Health Education England (HEE) to develop alternative solutions to non-medical placements and opportunities to increase student placement capacity and utilisation across Cheshire and Merseyside.

The post holder will be required to work collaboratively across stakeholder trusts, to support the design and implementation of a clinical placement virtual learning week and Coaching across 3 ward areas. Utilising innovative solutions and technologies to deliver key project objectives and outcomes.

To deliver the project, you will need to possess the ability to build relationships and engage with key stakeholders, have excellent organisational and planning skills, good attention to detail and be able to work to deadlines and prioritise work appropriately.

This role involves working with a wide range of stakeholders, so good verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as a professional manner and flexible approach. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be a registered professional with clinical experience, and have a good understanding of non-medical undergraduate training, technology enhanced learning opportunities, simulation, knowledge of placement utilisation and capacity building.

Hours per Week: 37.5

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be assisting in leading and implementing two Clinical Placement Expansion Projects through a Virtual Learning Week and Coaching model, to support the development of additional and innovative placements for nursing students. The project spans across a number organisational partners within Cheshire & Merseyside, in collaboration with the University of Chester. The post holder will work across the project partners ensuring that the expected outcomes of this programme are achieved and evaluated.
