Job summary
We are looking for dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking clinical pharmacists to join our friendly, innovative and supportive clinical pharmacy team at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, proactive and patient focused clinical pharmacy service.
Applicants should be a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council or a trainee pharmacist due to qualify this summer. You will be self-motivated and organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team, and you will be fully supported by the pharmacy team to develop within this role.
Ability to meet travel requirements.
Hours per week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical pharmacy service to the dispensary and designated ward areas including the local hospice and a community hospital in Congleton.
Our team of pharmacists currently provide a service to the following specialities:
- Cardiology
- Respiratory
- Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology
- Medical admissions
- Trauma and orthopaedics
- General Surgery
- Intensive care
- Paediatrics
- Care of the Elderly
- Intermediate Care
- Palliative care
- Pre-operative assessment clinic
You will be provided with the relevant training and support to work in the various specialities within the Trust and in addition to ward-based services, our comprehensive rotation programme also includes training within our aseptics and Medicines Information services.
Within the role you will be able to further develop your clinical skills through the undertaking of a clinical postgraduate diploma and we encourage our clinical team to undertake the non-medical prescribing module as part of this.
