Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's community nurse to apply for a Band 5 role.

The successful applicant will need to be able to work in a team and autonomously with excellent communication skills. The post holder will be expected to work day shifts , including weekends and bank holidays.

We are currently recruiting to the following post:

1 full time band 5 permanent. Part time hours will be considered.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a skilled member of the Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT) providing a high standard of holistic family centred cate to the children and families of East Cheshire.
  • Promote family centered care and establish good relationships with children and families within the community setting.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within the multidisciplinary team.
  • To manage the CCNT caseload in the absence of senior staff.
  • To assist senior staff to develop and run the Paediatric Observation and Assessment Unit (POBS) on the Children's Ward
