As Chief Executive of East Cheshire NHS Trust you will play a significant role in securing our successful future and provide leadership to the Executive Team. You will take forward our strategy, delivering on our vision for excellence and innovation and providing safe and compassionate care to the people of eastern Cheshire and beyond. Alongside providing visible and inclusive leadership to our hospital and community sites, you will contribute to the Cheshire place and wider system leadership agenda and build strong relationships with regulators.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be a values-led leader who upholds and demonstrates the Trust's values including kindness, fairness, integrity in all that they do. They will always strive to maximise people's potential to be the best they can be. As a Trust and system leader, they will set the aspiration to create an empowering environment to work in partnership with people and communities to ensure effective co-production. They will be an inclusive leader who demonstrates a commitment to person-centred care and is passionate about reducing health inequalities for the population. They will support the implementation of ECT's anti-discrimination commitment.
In driving the organisation forward, the CEO will engage effectively with NHS, local authority and other partners, including the voluntary and community, faith and social enterprise sector, in Cheshire and Merseyside and Greater Manchester South East Sector including Stockport as well as regionally and nationally as appropriate. They will provide high level strategic leadership and management to the whole organisation, with a focus on high standards of patient safety, clinical quality and person-centred care; via efficient and effective use of resources.
The CEO is a member of ECT's Board and will work with the Chair to ensure the ongoing development and delivery of the Trust's ambitious strategy, which places partnership working at its core.
