Whilst a comprehensive training package will give you the skills and knowledge to work effectively as a HSA, we want to learn from your application how you can meet the minimum of the essential criteria in our person specification, and perhaps even exceed this minimum standard. We support the continuous development of our staff so regular refreshers of training take place.
And finally, our environment can be often placed under operational challenge which requires some flexibility, team working and a joined working approach to ensure our patients receive the best care possible, so we would also be interested in understanding how you might be able to help us deliver services in such an environment.
We have operate several different shifts, e.g. 7am - 2:30pm, 2pm - 8pm and 4pm - 8pm. Pease indicate in supporting information which hours would suit you best.
Main duties of the job
The role of a HSA can be demanding, and requires flexibility to support us during periods of operational pressures; Various shift patterns available to be discussed at interview You will work on a rota conducting cleaning on wards and public areas during week one and undertake catering duties delivering drinks and meals to our patients during week two. Whilst the post is a Bank position (zero hours contract) once you have completed your training and following a period of integration within the hospital environment, you will have the opportunity to apply for any contracted posts within the department that may come available.
