Job summary
We are seeking a Lead Audiologist to transform and lead our Audiology departments on both the Diana Princess of Wales and Sculthorpe General Hospital sites, review and lead change for pathway and process management.
The post offers the right candidates exciting opportunities in making a difference to how we deliver our services. Working closely with the Clinical Lead in ENT and Pediatrics, Matron for outpatients and business managers, and together you will drive services forward.
Working directly with the Divisional Associate Chief Operating Officer for Surgery, Critical Care and Clinical Sciences, you will need to possess proven leadership and budgetary skills, visionary qualities and demonstrate you are capable of contributing effectively to organisational change.
With an ability to adapt to varying priority's, you will have tact and diplomacy and be able to work on your own initiative whilst demonstrating an understanding and inclusive manner with your team.
The Divisional Senior Quadrumvirate sees the post as key to the delivery of our constitutional standards, DMO1 performance and ensuring patients are kept safe and receive quality care and participation within national audits and ensuring current and up to date clinical practice.

Main duties of the job
To provide senior leadership and management within the Audiology Services. The post holder will be a dynamic, innovative, and strategic thinker; able to think with vision to maintain and develop the department in close collaboration with the senior management team.
The position involves:
- Provision of senior leadership and management
- Financial management for Audiology services with the SMT of S,CC&CS
- Management of Audiological clinical staff; including clinical supervision, training and development
- Figurehead for the department working closely in conjunction with specialist service team leaders
- Leading and coordinating service change to ensure provision of an efficient and effective service, providing quality care as specified by patient and purchaser's need
- Clinically responsible for all patients seen in Audiology department
- Overall responsibility for ongoing quality assurance of the service.
