Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
The post holder is required to support the Respiratory Physiology Department in the delivery of a comprehensive administration service to the team. This will involve inpatient waiting list management for a specific area within Respiratory in accordance with the Patient Access Policy and communicating appointment and admission related information to patients and carers as appropriate. The focus will be supporting the Respiratory Physiology Department with the delivery of activity at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).
The team continuously reviews and adapts it's approach to ensure that they provide the highest standard of care in a dynamic environment and we would expect the postholder to adapt accordingly.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be:
- Required to enter appointment details into relevant Trust computer systems.
- Dealing with patient enquiries with the need to analyse and resolve patient problems
- Responsible for sorting and distributing outgoing/incoming information in a timely manner
- Prioritising your own workload and contribute to the smooth running of the department.
- will have the ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Flexible as the work pattern is unpredictable and is governed by priorities and incidents as they occur.
- Provide cross cover all areas of the administration and clerical services at both the Royal Stoke University Hospital site and the County Hospital sites, including covering absences where required.
