An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Staff Nurse within our Children's Assessment Unit at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke for a fixed term period.

Main duties of the job
To assess, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care needs of children and families/carers within the ward or department in order to provide and maintain a high standard of informed and holistic care following a formal period or preceptorship. The post holder will work within the context of this post in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) codes of practice and the University Hospital of North Midlands Trust policies, procedures, standards and guidance. Providing clinical advice to patients/families/staff and visitors. The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the 10 key roles for nursing and to enhance / advance nursing roles within a local and national framework.
