Job summary
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to become a part of the pharmacy workforce at University Hospital of North Midlands.
The post is for a 2-year, fixed term contract for a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship, starting in September 2025.
We will provide a comprehensive training plan for the successful students across both sites to ensure a full and engaging experience. The post includes hands-on work experience and 1 day per week study leave at Stoke-on-Trent College.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve undertaking the necessary training to provide all of the skills required to support within a busy 'person centred care' environment. This will include skills such as dispensing, accuracy checking and medicine reconciliation, to name but a few. Working both within the Pharmacy department and the clinical ward setting.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, and organised with a positive friendly can do attitude. Be hardworking, reliable and willing to undertake work based competencies as well as proactive within their studies.
