We have an exciting opportunity for applications from enthusiastic individuals to work within our busy Theatres 25 to 29.
We are looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner, Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner for full time/part time positions.
Theatre is a fast paced environment where a positive attitude, energy and innovation are welcomed. As a team leader/Senior Theatre Practitioner you will be expected to deliver high standards of perioperative care, and have the ability to support and develop your own skills and facilitate / support and develop the team to provide excellent patient care within the department.
We ask that applicants have a minimum of 2 years' experience at band 5 and can demonstrate leadership skills and qualities. You will be expected to lead a team in theatre and at times the department.
Main duties of the job
We require you to have excellent scrub/Anaesthetic skills , the successful candidate will be part of our 7 day/24 hour service. We cover the 24 hour period with a range of shifts Early, Late, Long days and Nights. Staff need to be able to work flexibly to cover service requirements.In turn, we can offer you a structured preceptorship and induction programme for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development, appraisal and clinical supervision.Please understand that although this position is at Royal Stoke we are one hospital with County and you may-be required to work there on occasion.
