Job summary

The Operational Services Manager (Materials Management) will be expected to support the Interventional Radiology Team in ensuring that systems are in place for the procurement and management of stock and consumables in the department.

Main duties of the job

The post will suit someone who has experience of working in a stock/procurement environment and will support the Interventional Radiology team in ensuring they have the stock and consumables available to allow the delivery of continually high quality patient care. The ongoing implementation and maintenance of a computerised stock control system is a key deliverable for the successful candidate.

You will have excellent communication skills, liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to support the standardisation and rationalisation of stock within the department. You will also be instrumental in co-ordinating and implementing regular stock checks in line with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions.

The post holder will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment alongside Radiologists, Radiographers and Nursing staff, Supplies and Procurement staff and external suppliers to ensure systems are in place for the safe, efficient and cost effective management of stock and consumables within the Interventional Radiology Department.
