Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a permanent qualified Medical Engineer to support the existing teams working within Clinical Technology. The successful applicant must have extensive experience in a medical engineering environment. The successful applicant must be qualified to a minimum of HNC level, or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject and hold a valid UK manual driving licence.
Main duties of the job
The department of Clinical Technology provides a comprehensive medical equipment management and maintenance service to the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM) and external healthcare bodies. Based at both the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital sites, the department consists of multidisciplinary teams of medical engineers, including renal, general medical, imaging, critical care and medical gasses, comprising of over 30 engineers who provide medical equipment maintenance and support to services across the organisation and to other local healthcare providers.
