Job summary
This 6 month Locum post-holder will be required to provide the full range of obstetric & gynaecology skills such as managing the Labour Ward, Section Lists , Maternity Assessment Unit, Independent Gynaecology outpatient clinics, covering emergency Gynaecology wards and theatre lists. Collaborating with existing consultants as well as attending Gynaecology Endometriosis MDT's. It is essential that the post holder should have an ATSM in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Labour Ward.
The post holder will provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge and will work within a team based structure to support care across both hospital sites. He / She will be a member of the relevant divisional, trust and regional committees. He / She will also be expected to participate in the immediate management functions and strategic planning of the Division and Trusts on both sites.
This post is based at University Hospital of North Midlands. Clinical Duties will be across both the Royal Stoke and County Hospital Sites with a total of 9.729 PA's. You will participate in an Obstetric 1:14 weekday on-call and 1:14 Weekend obstetric rota.

- Full GMC Registration
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- CCST or equivalent ('equivalence' must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC)
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of date of the AAC
- ATSM - Advanced Labour Ward / High Risk Antenatal
- ATSM in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery
Desirable
- Other higher degree or diploma (e.g., MD, PhD, FRCS)
- Robotic surgical experience
