Hours of Duty: 15 hrs (Mon 9.00am-5.00pm and Thurs 9.00am-5.00pm)

Managerially accountable to: Senior Operational Services Manager

Professionally accountable to: Directorate Manager

Key Relationships: All members of the Directorate Management Team Administration and clerical staff Medical, nursing and midwifery staff and other staff within the Directorate/Trust as appropriate. External contacts, relevant to the nature of the work of the Directorate/Trust, including patients and visitors as appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key role in the day to day administration for the Child Protection and LAC Teams and will have the ability to work on their own initiative to identify and problem-solve issues as they arise. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and actioning the various email inboxes, scanning documents on to iPortal, handling the incoming and outgoing post and answering telephone calls.

The role involves the provision of a full admin service to the Child Protection and Looked after Children's Teams. A key element of this role will be liaising with Named Nurse and Doctors for Child Protection and Looked After Child, Social Care Staff, Child Protection Police, health colleagues in other departments at UHNM e.g. midwifery, foster carers and adoptive parents and other A&C colleagues. The job role involves dealing with multiple email inboxes for all incoming correspondence and actioning accordingly and keeping a log on the relevant databases to capture the data coming in to the service.
