Main duties of the job
The role of the Nursing Assistant post within the Maternity, Neonatal & Gynaecology Directorate is flexible and the post holder will, therefore, be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions. Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff to work variable hours on a week by week basis within agreed limits. The post holder will be required to work according to a locally agreed Code of Conduct for Nursing Assistants and to complete the Trust Care Certificate, the Directorate and Department induction and skill/competency based program.
The role of the Nursing Assistant in the Trust is different depending upon the ward or department the role is based, however you would be delivering care and support to our patients, learning new skills in assessment and documentation, as well as working as part of the wider team to deliver an excellent patient experience.
If you are shortlisted for interview for this role you will need to be able to attend the full day assessment day on Saturday 15th June 2024.
This will start at 10:00am, and assessment day will consist of a Maths and English Test, Group Discussion, Practical Test and informal interview. We are unable to provide an alternative date or online interview for this role due to the practical elements of the process.
