Job summary

The Emergency Department are looking for an enthusiastic and capable person who is able to work as a team. The role includes involves high levels of concentration and an ability to analyse data to support our compliance with national targets requiring patients to be seen, treated and discharged or admitted within a four hour time frame.

You will be expected to ensure the highest level of data quality for performance reporting and activity analysis you will be responsible for entering data and maintaining accuracy within relevant EPR systems.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the highest level of data quality for performance reporting and activity analysis the Data Validator will be responsible for entering data and maintaining accuracy within relevant EPR systems.

Data Validators will provide a daily validation of departmental breaches and ambulance handovers. They will ensure that all potential breaches of the target are escalated and managed appropriately by working closely with the administrative teams. Data Validators will also be responsible for data quality enquiries and corrections within relevant systems. They will work with service managers and appropriate teams.

The post holder will also undertake clerical duties including filing and answering the telephone to enquiries and provide general assistance to the wider team.
