Job summary

The post holder will provide an effective administration service to the Learning, Education and WP Team with a particular focus on the co-ordination of our Work Experience programme. To assist in the Trust's careers promotion. Engage with local communities and education providers on the widening participation agenda.

The successful candidate will be supported to enrol onto a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship within nine months of joining the team.

Main duties of the job

  • To coordinate and oversee requests on work experience and clinical attachment placements in a timely manner
  • Actively promote UHNM as an employer of choice
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials

  • To actively build good working relationships with our Work Experience placement supervisors and educators across the Trust. To seek new/maintain existing work experience placements across the Trust.
  • To oversee all work experience applicants from their induction to collating evaluations from the time on placement or virtual session. Assist in face to face or virtual career events across Staffordshire which may involve on occasion out of hours working.
  • Liaise with schools, colleges and other external organisations in the planning of activities to support widening participation activities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel & Word
  • Genuine interest in NHS future workforce and a desire to make a positive difference

Desirable

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above or equivalent
  • Experience of providing information, advice and guidance to others
  • Previous Administration experience
