Job summary

To undertake designated procurement activity, including investigative projects and the conduct of competitive quotation and tender exercises.

Liaises with Senior Trust Officers, Procurement and Supply Chain Staff, Trust requisitioners, Clinicians, budget holders, Suppliers, Collaborative Procurement Hub, NHS Supply Chain (NHSSC), Department of Health, Internal and External Audit.

Main duties of the job

The Procurement Officer directly supports the Head of Procurement and Senior Procurement team in establishing and managing effective, and fit for purpose supply/service agreements. Responsible for the management of specific categories within the Procurement portfolio to meet the needs of the Trust's strategy, customer base requirements, maximise value for money whilst ensuring compliance with EU Procurement Legislation, UK Law and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions.

Please note that this role is based at Trafalgar House, Dudley as part of the Procurement Team for Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
