We can offer job plans of 10 - 12 PA's on a negotiable basis.
We offer an innovative and sustainable Consultant work pattern that has gained national acclaim. This system balances out of hours work with ample and flexible compensatory time off factored into the job plan.

Main duties of the job
You will be working in a well-supported tertiary centre environment benefiting patients across our sites.
There are established pathways in place streaming select acute patient groups directly into specialised services inc. primary PCI for STEMI's, a Frail Elderly assessment unit, direct Renal, Neurology and Haematology/Oncology admissions and an Acute Stroke unit providing 24/7 thrombolysis and invasive vascular interventions.
We operate a pioneering level of 7 day Consultant cover across all medical sub-speciality departments.

22 bedded Short Stay Unit (SSU)

- MRCP or equivalent
Desirable
- MD, PhD or equivalent
- Specialty Certificate Examination in Acute Internal Medicine
Experience
Essential
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in Acute Internal Medicine (AIM) or General Internal Medicine (GIM)
Desirable
- Higher training in a dedicated Acute Medicine specialty training scheme.
- Critical Care experience
Academic, Research & Publicati

- Experience of conducting clinical audit.

- To have published in peer re-viewed journals.
