Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded team of 26 Consultants within the Directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The post-holder will be required to provide the full range of Obstetric and Gynaecology skills such as managing the Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists and Maternity Assessment Unit in collaboration with existing consultants and within the multi-disciplinary team.
This post holder will also work closely with the gynaecologists covering theatres, outpatients and ambulatory surgery.
Clinical Duties will be across both the Royal Stoke and County Hospital Sites. The post holder will have a total of PAs per week.
The post holder will participate in the obstetric 1:12 weekday on call and 1:11 weekend on-call.
The post holders will provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge and will work within a team based structure to support care across both hospital sites. He / She will be a member of the relevant divisional, trust and regional committees. He / She will also be expected to participate in the immediate management functions and strategic planning of the Division and Trusts on both sites.

- Full GMC Registration
- ATSM Gynae Oncology
- ATSM Labour Ward
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- CCST or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of date of the AAC
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

- Experience at Consultant level
- Willing to participate in audit programmes
- Experience of clinical supervision and mentorship
- Good leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills
