Job summary

Applications are invited for a LAS FY2 in the Cardiology Department at the Royal Stoke Hospital. This post provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in cardiology. The post is until 6th August 2024 with a possibility of extension thereafter. The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day care of cardiology patients, working in conjunction with cardiology middle-grades, consultants and allied professionals to provide high quality care to our patients. Participation in the on-call rota, including out of hours and weekend working is required as part of the post.

Main duties of the job

  • Initial clerking, assessment and management of all cardiology patients admitted.
  • Management of all patients on the wards and any outlying wards.
  • Referral of patients to other specialities.
  • Necessary emergency investigation, treatment and escalation

  • MBBS or equivalent

  • MRCS, DLO or equivalent
