Job summary
This post is a role of consultant orthodontist based at Royal Stoke hospital. The post holder will be expected to undertake the diagnosis and treatment of a range of complex orthodontic clinical cases as well as provision of teaching and training within the department and regionally.
Main duties of the job
- To provide ongoing orthodontic clinical care for a range of complex orthodontic cases.
- To assess new patients and develop treatment plans for direct and indirect care.
- To supervise StR and therapist treatments ongoing within the department
- To take part in the provision of MDT clinics in orthognathic surgery and restorative dentistry.
- To take part in the management of the department supporting the clinical lead in developing local service provision and supporting treatment in primary care.
- To engage in quality improvement activities including local and regional audit meetings and engagement with the Staffordshire managed clinical network. It would be expected during tenure to take on the role of chair of the managed clinical network at some point.
