UHNM Royal Stoke Hospital - Band 5 Vacancy

(SSU - Ward 233)

We are looking to recruit to recruit a Band 5 nurses who have a drive to deliver high quality care, who have a vision for their own development and want to make a difference.

The Short Stay Unit within acute medicine, treats patients with acute medical conditions. We deal with a range of medical conditions supported by a dedicated team of Consultants, therapy staff and ward based pharmacy staff. the unit has a fast based turnover and we aim to care and treat patients with a view to discharge in 48 hours.

Main duties of the job

The Band 5 staff nurse will participate in the delivery of quality care to patients in the ward /department. The postholder will provide support to more senior colleagues in the nursing team,reporting to them appropriately.

The postholder will work as a team-leader when required, providing support and acting as a rolemodel to the rest of the team.

To ensure that all activities on the ward or department are in keeping with the Nursing &Midwifery Council's Code of Professional Conduct and the Statutory Instrument No. 873.(The Nurses Midwives and Health Visitors' Rules Approval Order 1992).
