Job summary

The University Hospital of North Midlands Medicine and Urgent Care Division has never been a more exciting place to work for enthusiastic leaders passionate about leading Nursing teams to deliver excellent patient care.

The division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to take up the role as a Head of Nursing, working alongside the Divisional Nursing Director and the wider Divisional team to deliver the divisional and organisational strategic aims and objectives. We want an individual who has proven experience of supporting and developing teams to provide safe and outstanding patient care. The post holder will provide innovative and transformational leadership; have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to prioritisation of a busy and diverse workload.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for applicants who are proud to care and have ambition to provide our patients with excellence services whilst encouraging our nursing teams to deliver care with compassion, positivity and determination. We want enthusiasm, drive, commitment and an excellent role model for our nursing and wider teams to aspire to. In return we will provide insight and experience working at senior divisional level and exposure to the complexities of the Medicine and the Urgent Care Division.

We are looking for a senior nurse with a minimum of 3 years Band 8a experience wanting a challenge to further their career within a nurse management role, and support the nursing teams to deliver outstanding care and patient experience. The applicant must be able to demonstrate well defined leadership and communication skills and have ability to work part as part of the divisional service line management team (SLM) and corporate teams.
