Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to progress their career within a fast paced and dynamic CT service at UHNM.
The CT scanning department currently has six state of the art CT scanners providing support to a wide range of referrers, including the level 1 Major Trauma centre, Vascular and Neuro intervention, Musculo skeletal, Oncology services and screening programmes. Three further CT scanners will be installed and operational by June 2023 due to increase in demand for CT scanning services and UHNM's direct involvement in the delivery of the Targeted Lung Health Check Screening Programme.

This post offers exposure to a wide range of CT interventional and nursing procedures, such as CT guided biopsies, CT drains and more within the CT service. Current focus includes management of waiting lists and achievement of all local and national targets with CT interventional cases having an important role in this.
The CT service are looking for an outstanding individual with an evidenced profile of nursing experience comprising of self-directed workload management, use of own initiative, ability to suggest and implement new ways of working.
Main duties of the job
This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with strong interpersonal skills to develop their knowledge and skills within the CT service and Imaging Directorate. The post holder will support the CT service delivery, patient care (pre and post procedure) and patient management, liaising with external stakeholders ensuring complete patient preparation and organisation of patient attendance to ensure the best use of time and resource.
