Job summary
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a large well-established oral/maxillofacial department.
This is a full-time Consultant Oral Maxillofacial post, with interest in craniofacial surgery and trauma.
The post-holder will be expected to participate in sessions at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County hospital. Consultant should cover all Oral Maxillofacial emergencies across both sites.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder would be expected to work closely with the existing Consultants.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery outpatient and inpatient services are provided both at Royal Stoke University Hospital and outpatient services at the County hospitals
At the Royal Stoke Hospital had a dedicated theatre for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Share a dedicated Ward with ENT and Plastic Colleagues.
Royal Stoke has a Maxillofacial laboratory with 3D printing facilities
As the Oral Maxillofacial department has close links with the Keele University, this post holder is expected to be involved in teaching and training medical students and junior doctors. It is also expected that the post holder is expected to oversee teaching and training of foundation and core trainees.

- Full GMC Registration
- Full GDC Registration
- Membership of the faculty of dental surgery or equivalent
- Fellowship or membership of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent

- Higher degree
