Job summary

The successful candidate will be working within a busy and proactive surgical assessment area managing both bedded and ambulatory patients.

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a band 5 staff nurse into the Emergency Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology Directorate. This roll is required for a staff nurse based on the surgical assessment and Surgical Ambulatory Care Unit (SAU). SAU is an acute emergency surgical portal comprising of both male and female patients undergoing all aspects of Un Planned Emergency General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Max Fax and Plastic surgery.

We are looking for a dynamic individual, who is passionate about the standards of care we deliver to our patients', using innovation and evidence based nursing practice and viewing our patients holistically for their individual nursing needs.

The applicant will need to be able to demonstrate excellent professional leadership skills while supporting the clinical team. You would be helping the Senior Ward Sister to develop and build a team of dedicated nursing and support staff, who pride themselves in delivering high quality care. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
