Job summary

The IM&T Business Intelligence Team are looking to recruit a permanent BI Development Consultant. You will work in the BI Development Team in a leading and guiding capacity building new and innovating data and reporting capabilities. Of primary focus is exposing data from the Hospital's many clinical and operational systems to support production of information and reporting needs.

This is an exciting role supporting the Trust's adoption of Microsoft Cloud technologies. The post holder will have a key role in the design, development and on-going support of the Trust's business critical corporate Data Warehouse and BI Systems. These systems are critical within the organisation to support and maintain continuity of the Trust's business reporting, dashboards and other data processes. This role is crucial in developing new azure based data warehousing services and enabling the provision of accurate reporting through management of raw data from many source systems into the corporate Data Warehouse.

Familiar with latest versions of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud services, Office 365, SharePoint, PowerBi, you will support the Trust's adoption of Hybrid on-premise and Azure hosted Data Warehousing. You will develop and manage the development of ETL processes and enablement of real-time HL7/FIHR data integration.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a key role in the design, development and on-going support of the Trust's business critical corporate Data Warehouse and BI Systems. These systems are critical within the organisation to support and maintain continuity of the Trust's business reporting, dashboards and other data processes. The post holder has line management responsibilities for BI Team developer staff. The role is key in developing data warehouse services and enabling the provision of accurate reporting through management of raw data from multiple source systems into the corporate Data Warehouse. Based on Kimball dimensional modelling star schema design, you will work with various system owners, analytical staff and BI developers in understanding and translation of raw data into reportable and conformed data model solutions essential to the Trust's widely varying reporting needs, national and regional returns, monitoring for key performance indicators and targets.
