Job summary

The post holder will design and develop, as well as support the business critical patient care systems for the organisation that are key to maintaining the continuity of the Trust's business and operational processes. Creating software solutions that are essential to the Trusts key performance indicators and targets.

Liaises with third party suppliers and staff across all levels of the Trust in the planning, design and development of highly complex software system solutions.

Main duties of the job

  • To develop, enhance & maintain the Trusts in house developed portal.
  • To design & develop micro systems.
  • Investigate & offer solutions to technical problems
  • Maintain productive relationships with different parties, in order to understand the software development needs of the Trust.
  • Liaise with colleagues & clinical representatives to agree a development roadmap for implementation and support.
  • Negotiating with clinicians, senior managers & third party suppliers in relation to new working practices & technical solutions.
  • Presentation & demonstration of a wide variety of IT solutions
  • Writes & distributes complicated IT software system specifications to Trust personnel & 3rd party suppliers.
  • Reads & implements complicated IT software system specifications received from 3rd party suppliers
  • Assesses a range of options & conflicting priorities to enact decisions & provides recommendations
  • Resolves complex issues & where necessary recommends appropriate hardware, software or business practice changes
  • Performs investigations & implements changes in order to resolve issues &/or to comply with user requirements.
