Training Fellow Acute MedicineApplications are invited for Trust Doctors to support our Medical Division in Acute Medicine. These posts are available with immediate effect for 12 months , This post will specifically support our AMU wards at County Hospital StaffordYou will work under consultant supervision and within a dedicated team at all times. The hours of work are Monday-Friday only no additional on callsIn order to be considered applicants must have FULL GMC Registration, Basic Life Support and have previous experience of working in the NHS.
Main duties of the job
The post would suit doctors from the UK or abroad that may be at various stages of their career and would include:
- Doctors who have completed their basic medical degree (MBBS) and the Foundation Programme or equivalent (currently holding full GMC registration), or 3 years of overseas continuous clinical experience post-qualification
- Doctors who have completed a recognised post-graduate qualification in General Medicine or allied specialties and are seeking further specialization or qualification or both as well as UK NHS experience
The programme is standard for both UK and Overseas doctors, there being no differentiation or discrimination.
The terms and conditions of employment will be exactly equivalent to a UK NHS doctor of the same grade. The NHS will pay their salary and their remuneration will be exactly the same as an equivalent UK doctor.

In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, and commensurate with your grade, to play a full part in the supervision and support of other members of your team including more junior medical staff.
In conjunction with colleagues, to take responsibility for the best use of departmental staffing and other resources to ensure the maximum efficiency of the department.
In conjunction with colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met and to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate.
To accept a duty to other staff and patients to ensure that any risks, incidents and hazards are reported and managed appropriately.
