Job summary

The IM&T Directorate is looking for flexible, hardworking & enthusiastic individual to join the ICT Integration Team at UHNM.

The post holder will be part of the Systems Integration Team, responsible for the Development & Support of the Trusts Rhapsody Integration Engine.

Ideally candidates will require a minimum of 2 years 'experience in the Development of System Integration Software ideally using an Integration Engine, but experienced Software Developers with a minimum of 2 years experience who wish to apply will also be considered & training will be provided.

Any knowledge of the NHS would be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of HL7.

If required, full training will be provided and it will be expected that the successful applicant will be required to complete this training.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will develop and support the business critical Integration systems infrastructure which is key to maintaining the continuity of the Trusts business and operational processes. Creating software solutions that are essential to the Trusts key performance indicators and targets. Developing and maintaining the Trusts specialist Rhapsody Integration Engine Application Software. This is a fundamental element of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) that allows the hospitals clinical systems to communicate with each other.

Liaises with third party suppliers and staff across all levels of the Trust in the planning, design and development of complex system integration software solutions using Liniates Rhapsody Integration Engine.

Education and qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Degree in a computer related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Desirable

  • Evidence of continuing professional development, either academic (e.g. MSc) or in an industry standard qualification (e.g. MSCD).

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an Integration Specialist or Software Developer with HL7 and Integration experience
