Specialty Doctor in Palliative Medicine

Job summary

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Specialty Doctor to join the community Specialist Palliative Care teams in Rugby and South Warwickshire. The successful applicant will join an established team of consultants and clinical nurse specialists in 2 different areas across Warwickshire. This a new post to increase the medical support in two of the SWFT community teams. It is anticipated that the Palliative Care teams across SWFT will continue to grow over the next few years, creating opportunities for further development into services for patients with non-malignant diagnoses.Both Rugby and South Warwickshire have a weekly MDT. The South Warwickshire MDT is integrated with the Warwick Hospital Palliative Care Team and is attended by the three local hospices. The MDTs are supported by the senior Palliative Care secretaries.Both teams are supported by Palliative Care secretaries.
