South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) is a teaching hospital associated with the University of Warwick Medical School (WMS) and the University of Buckingham Medical School (uBMS). We are advertising for Clinical Education Fellows to join our medical education team in providing education and training to both medical students and resident doctors.
Main duties of the job
The post is designed to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Post holders will teach medical students in both the hospital and university settings, and will have the opportunity to deliver teaching and mentorship to doctors in training. As a result, our education fellows will be involved in teaching a broad range of topics across both universities and at postgraduate level, requiring high levels of flexibility and adaptability.

Medical student teaching varies daily, from bedside teaching for Phase I students through to revision for final year students. This teaching encompasses small group workshops, lectures and simulation based education amongst others. All teaching materials are provided however development of resources is ongoing throughout the academic year.
The Trust has an education facility off site (Acorn House) which includes two fully equipped simulation suites, high fidelity manikins, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and the support of a multidisciplinary simulation faculty. All of the clinical educators will have the opportunity to be involved in the running and development of simulation.
